STDs: Sexually Transmitted Demons

STDs: Sexually Transmitted Demons

Sex seems to be a spicy topic within the church community, more specifically the religious community. It's a religious mindset that speaks against sex or relates everything dealing with sex to lust. They don't want to talk about it. Its seems they have this mindset that its too spicy or too hot to handle so if they talk about it then they will get burned. People shy away from talking about sex in homes with family and in the church but it needs to be taught.

There is a such thing as biblical sexuality.

God created sex and God being the good God that He is, would not have created something to harm us. What has happened is the enemy has perverted what God has created for our good so that we can be harmed. Sex within the covenant of marriage is safe and it's actually healthy for you.

Sex outside of heaven’s creed of marriage is where things become harmful.

Before we get into that, I wan’t to first let it be known that sex is not a bad thing. Having a sexual desire is not a bad thing. God created us with a natural, normal desire for sex. Now, if you have an abnormal sex appetite, then there’s something else behind that in which the bible calls lust. Sexual lust opens the door for demonic spirits to enter. If you don’t deal with lust it will pass down from generation to generation.

Let me say this too, marriage does not deal with lust. Lust is a spirit so getting married won’t get rid of the demon.

STDs is an acronym for Sexually Transmitted Diseases that are passed from one person to another through sexual intercourse. According to the CDC, there are more than 20 known types of STDs. In addition, over 20 million people in the US are infected each year. About half of these people are ages 15-24. Most STDs can be treated and cured, but having an bodily infection is never a good thing.

This seems to be a major problem, but what’s an even bigger problem is what really happens spiritually when you partake in sex outside of God’s creed of marriage. This problem is not predicated upon whether you catch a disease or not because it’s a spiritual transaction that takes place.

Even if you wear a condom, you still aren’t protected from this problem.

It’s still a STD but this STD I’m referring to stands for Sexually Transmitted Demons or Sexually Transferable Demons. Whichever word you wan’t to use for the T, it’s real! When you have sinful sex, you open yourself up to demonic activity.

STDs that are sexually transmitted diseases don’t always cause symptoms or may only cause mild symptoms. Therefore, it is possible to have an infection and not know it. As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual. People fornicate and don’t know that demons are transferred through sexual activity.

Just a quick point about demonology. Demons don’t have bodies so they look to embody humans so they can have legal access to act out their agenda on the earth. They don’t travel as one entity, they travel in networks. We see this in Mark chapter 5 when Jesus is met by a man with an unclean spirit.

Jesus asked the demon its name. The demon responded by saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”

Legion is actually a number, not a name.

In the Greek, Legion is translated to mean an army of 6,000. So it was 6,000 demons that were identified as an unclean spirit. So imagine having multiple spirits.

I know you are probably thinking how can this be? I will tell you how.

In 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 Paul is getting on the Church at Corinth about sexual immorality. He says in verse 17, “Do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, “The two shall be one flesh.”

Paul used the word prostitute because of the audience for which He was speaking. Prostitutes were common in Corinth and some of the new converts was continuing the practice of sleeping with them. The second part of the verse where He says, “For He says, the two shall be one flesh.” The ‘He’ he was talking about is God.

In Genesis 2:24 KJV, God said “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave to his wife, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh…” (Jesus quotes this in Mark 10)

Be joined has the idea of both passion and permanence. One flesh is referring to consummating the marriage with sex. To be one flesh is not talking about the two bodies becoming one body, that’s naturally impossible. So what is God saying?  Becoming one flesh also refers to spiritual and emotional intimacy.

Thus, Paul is explaining the spiritual transaction that happens when you engage in sex outside of marriage. Whatever spirits that are in a person that you have had sex with, transfers to you and vice versa.

There’s a transfer of spirits that happens in sexual immorality.

For example, if you have sex with someone that has a spirit of depression, that spirit will transfer to you. You will be wondering why you are feeling depressed or there’s like a weight of depression that has come upon you. There was a transference of spirit.

To explain further, sex is a time of vulnerability and your soul becomes open and tied to the other person, hence this is called a soul tie. Sexually Transmitted Diseases are infections to the body but Sexually Transmitted Demons are infections to the soul.

Demons can’t be cured or medicated. They have to be cast out.

Then there’s damage that happens in the soul that must be dealt with because your soul becomes messed up and wounded. Demons travel through open doorways. Sin is an open door. For the sake of this episode we are talking about sexual sin that opens the door for lust demons.

This is not to scare you but to make you aware. Its a lot more than can be said about this in more details as far as how the demonic activity manifest in your life and how to get delivered.

Maybe the Lord will have me to do more episodes on this topic but I just wanted to discuss in this episode what happens when you partake in sexual immorality.

It’s not to scare you or make you feel ashamed, it's to make you aware.

Demons like to hide so they don’t want you to be honest. When you’re honest then you can receive help and when you receive help, you heal.

The devil don’t want you healed.

God gave us intel on the devil’s operations in John 10:10. The devil’s operations are to steal, kill, and destroy. The devil wants to devour you. He doesn’t care and he doesn’t play fair. So if you have had sex outside of marriage, go through deliverance.

Here are some practical steps to get you started are:

  1. Recognize the wound within yourself - is it rejection, bitterness, abandonment

  2. Be honest about yourself - the part you may have played

  3. Repent - means not to just be sorrowful, but to actually turn your thinking

  4. Cut ties - you have to cut ties with any wounds of hurt or pain. Sometimes I think people don’t realize. The same way you connect, you can disconnect.

God created sex to be expressed between male and female, however, not outside the covenant, context and covering of marriage.

Sorry ya’ll, God did not create sex for singles! It's for the married folk! Sexual intercourse outside of marriage is more than a physical experience, its a spiritual transaction.

Saving sex for marriage will save your soul from STDs Sexually Transmitted Demons.
